Silicone-Based Dressings
Provide a glossier finish with better UV protection and longer durability (1-2 months). The downside: some silicone products can leave a greasy feel and attract dust. Best for: moderate UV protection with visible shine.
Ceramic Interior Coatings
The premium option: semi-permanent ceramic coatings that bond to plastic surfaces, providing excellent UV protection for 6-12 months. No greasy feel, natural appearance, superior durability. Best for: maximum protection with minimal maintenance.
Professional Application vs. DIY
The key to effective interior protection is thorough cleaning before application. Applying protectant over dirty surfaces just seals in contamination. Professional detailers clean all surfaces completely before applying protectant, ensuring proper adhesion and maximum protection.
Recommended Schedule
We recommend interior UV treatment twice per year: spring (before summer UV season) and fall (before winter's dry heating season). For vehicles parked outdoors regularly, quarterly treatment provides better protection.
